About Me

The purpose of this blog is to share the experiences that I have and the thoughts that make me who I am. This site serves as a self-reflection exercise and an opportunity to inform friends and family of places, events, and/or organizations that I feel are making a positive difference in my life and the world as a whole. This will serve as a creative space to post a range of ideas, pictures, and media links. I encourage everyone to find their preferred form of expression and to share their experiences with others. All questions, comments, suggestions are very welcome.

As a recent graduate of the University of California San Diego with degrees in Management Science (B.S) and Latin American Studies (B.A), I am determined to become a changemaker and expert in the field of Social Innovation Management. My efforts to understand the organizational structure and functional role of the non-profit sector particularly within the regional context of the western hemisphere, has led me to work with Partners of the Americas (Washington, D.C) and the Institute of the Americas (San Diego, CA). My work with the Institute of the Americas’ Entrepreneurship and Innovation program helped me understand existing private, public, and non-profit systems, models, and processes of innovation to identify the growing need for additional structural change. Through my professional, academic, and voluntary international exchanges, I have begun to understand the region, its people, and familiarize myself with the efforts of both local and global organizations that work hard to change the realities they face.
